Kentucky Downs is proud to introduce new ticketed seating options for its guests and horsemen in 2021. The expanded Finish Line Pavilion and new VIP Chalet bring an authentic racing experience with all of the traditional Kentucky Downs comforts to this year’s FanDuel Meet at Kentucky Downs.

Free General Admission seating will still be offered behind The Mint Gaming Hall and will span all the way through the Tailgating area beside the track’s final turn that has been utilized in years past. The main difference between ticketed seating (in the Finish Line Pavilion or FanDuel VIP Chalet) and General Admission seating this year will be exclusive viewing access to the finish line, paddock, and winner’s circle reserved for ticketed guests only. Free General Admission guests will unfortunately not have access to these areas this year. Tailgating space is available on a first come-first serve basis.

Finish Line Pavilion

Located adjacent to the finish line, paddock, and Winner’s Circle, our most popular seating venue has been expanded in recent years to accommodate more horsemen/horsewomen and guests! This open-air pavilion provides easy access to a cash bar and betting windows while trackside to the thunderous excitement of America’s richest race meet. Tables of eight are available, with varying prices per weekday or weekend, and include a complimentary buffet lunch and track programs.

FanDuel VIP Chalet

This air-conditioned luxurious indoor space provides an upscale way to attend the races while trackside and up close and personal with some of America’s fastest and most talented thoroughbreds. Located down the stretch from the Finish Line Pavilion, the FanDuel VIP Chalet provides additional perks to guests craving a more exclusive experience. VIP guests will enjoy the comforts of a private VIP lounge, upgraded food menu, and exclusive viewing access to the finish line, paddock and winner’s circle. Tables of eight are available, with varying prices per race day (aside from Sept. 11 which is SOLD OUT), and include complimentary food and track programs.

Live Racing

Kentucky Downs is home to America’s only European-style (all turf) racecourse, and at one mile and five-sixteenths in length, it is one of the longest tracks in the nation. Unlike other racetracks, which are typically oval, the course at Kentucky Downs is kidney-shaped, featuring undulation and a unique right-hand bend. The track’s average field size of about 11 horses per race also tops America, which combined with the lowest overall betting “takeout” has made Kentucky Downs the top-rated track by the Horseplayers Association of North America.
